It is preferred that you submit one file – Stuff-It / Zip Format. Please contact your customer service representative to assign a Folder in the FTP site for your account.

Note: When supplying files: You must clearly indicate the name of the file to print. You need to give us all TIFF and EPS documents such as fonts, logos and images that are included in your file as well as a black and white output to compare with our films. Black text must be black overprint only. Do not save your document in picture format due to its low resolution and avoid using Photoshop to create the text. Please, make sure you have converted your files RGB into CMYK, duotone, tri-tone or other, depending on your needs.

DISC PRINTED PROOFS / COLOR PROOFS MATCHING

On all orders, the standard is to send a PDF file for approval. If a printed proof is required, a $150.00 USD fee is applicable for 5 discs printed and sent via UPS/Fedex when your project is below 20,000 units, otherwise proofs are free of charge if requested. Please make sure that your artwork displays the PMS colors or Process Colors per the Printing Templates provided.

Vigobyte can match a digital color proof on CMYK artworks, if provided with signed approval by client. Otherwise, the cost of the digital proof is $25.00 USD.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE MAY BE COLOR DEVIATIONS BETWEEN THE PRINT ON THE ALUMINUM COATED PART AND THE NON-ALUMINUM COATED PART OF THE DVD. THEREFORE, VIGOBYTE. RECOMMENDS THE PREPRINTING OF AN ENTIRE WHITE BACKGROUND ON THE PRINTING AREA (WHITE BASE). IF FILMS ARE SUPPLIED TO VIGOBYTE, PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ACCORDING TO THE TYPE OF PRINTING REQUIRED.

SILK-SCREEN PRINTING

• Positive Film right reading, Emulsion side up.
• 100 lpi minimum resolution.
• Elliptical DOT films.

• If colors in the artwork are CMYK, then specific angles are required per film (color):45º Black, 15º Cyan, 0º Yellow, and 75º Magenta. (CMYK).

• If colors in the artwork are PMS or SPOT colors, and ONLY when using "blend" or "grading" in the artwork, different angles (300 difference) are required. This is only applicable for the colors which are part of the "grading."

• Trapping of 0.5 should be used on SPOT colors for vector files. (PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED TO RUN TRAPPING IF YOU ARE NOT 100% SURE ABOUT THE USAGE OF THIS SOFTWARE. PLEASE PROVIDE THE ARTWORK INSTEAD OF THE FILMS IF THIS IS THE CASE).

• Please use our Printing Templates to prepare your artworks. PLEASE DO NOT OMIT COLOR "NAMES" ON THE PAGE. USE EITHER PMS COLORS OR CMYK. Dimensions are included in the template as well as registration marks. Please properly use the white base in the template, or erase it if not required.

OFF-SET PRINTING

• Negative Film, Emulsion side down.
• 175 - 200 lpi minimum resolution.
• Elliptical DOT films.

• If a white flood coat/white base is required, a positive film with emulsion up, at 100 lpi resolution with elliptical dot is required for your project. Please properly use the white base in the template, or erase it if not required.

• Specific angles are required per film (color) - CMYK (ALL OFFSET JOBS ARE CMYK) 45º Black, 15º Cyan, 0º Yellow, and 75º Magenta.

• Please use our templates in this page to prepare your artworks. PLEASE DO NOT OMMIT COLOR "NAMES" IN THE PAGE. USE EITHER PMS COLORS OR CMYK. Dimensions are included in the template as well as registration marks. Please properly use the white base in the template, or erase it if not required.

GRAPHICS DISCLAIMER

In order to offer the lowest price possible we do not budget labor time in a job to check and repair files. When we receive an order, we assume all files are PRINT READY. Please check your files carefully. We will not beheld responsible for errors when files are not submitted in exact accordance with our specifications. EVEN A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE between our requirements and your digital file may cause a delay. PLEASE BE EXACT when setting up your files. Please refer to the Digital Prepress Checklist below.

DIGITAL PREPRESS CHECKLIST

( ) Include your name and phone number on your disk, when applicable.
( ) Provide all linked high resolution files. We cannot manipulate embedded images.
( ) Include both the printer and screen fonts for every font used in your file.
( ) Submit a hard copy of your file from the disk we will be using, we can take a PDF as hard copy. If you output your file through another computer, this process will reveal any missing fonts or graphics. Please include a directory listing with proofs, when applicable.
( ) Define all color as SPOT (PMS) or CMYK.
( ) Delete all unused colors in your file.
( ) Convert all RGB files to CMYK. If conversion is necessary you may see a significant color shift and color correction. This will result in additional charges and time delays for your job.
( ) Submit both layered and formatted CMYK Photoshop files. Do not flatten templates or die lines within your files.
( ) Be sure to use the exact measurements from templates in web-site. Extend image (Bleed) 0.125" minimum beyond trim.
( ) When e-mailing or using FTP site please include your company and job titles on files. Please make sure to submit only one file either zipped or stuffed.
( ) Graphic Designer should take into consideration the resolution of the artwork in the disc, which will be 100 lpi's for Silk-Screen printing, and up to 200 lpi's for Offset printing. Files need to have a resolution of 2400 dpi's for small text, and 1200 lpi's all else. Files need to be supplied in high resolution.
( ) All EPS and TIFFs should be provided.
( ) Text is preferred to be converted to curves, if not all fonts need to be supplied.
( ) Vector artwork FILE is required.
( ) A signed digital / color proof is required either printed in paper or a live disc sample for all CMYK artworks supplied. If artworks are only composed by PMS colors, then Digital Proof is not required. PMS colors to be matched to PMS guide. Please include your PDF in order to make sure we receive the same artwork.

Offset: 1 to 6 colors, 4 offset colors CMYK, one background color (white base) and one foreground or frontal color (lacquer).

Silk-Screen Printing: 1 to 5 colors, 4 CMYK or PMS and one background color (white base).

DVD-10
Silk-Screen Printing: 1 to 3 colors. The title of the movie or content is printed on the inner hub ring of each side.

DVD-14/18
Silk-Screen Printing: 1 to 3 colors. The title of the movie or content is printed in two diameters on the inner hub displaying information for both sides.

CD-R
Silk-Screen Printing: 1 to 5 colors, 4 CMYK or PMS and one base coat (white).
