Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a program developed by the United States Customs Service as a result of growing concerns by government and business of the growing threat of terrorist activity involving the movement of freight into the U.S. The program enables participating members to obtain expedited clearance of their cargo by reducing the number of cargo inspections and requests for information at the time of Customs entry.
To become a certified member, Vigobyte demonstrated that we have developed acceptable security procedures throughout our supply chain. Importers who are not C-TPAT members may have their shipments subject to long delays in customs clearance because of the extra scrutiny and inspections that their shipments will undergo. The program ensures that supply chain security requirements are met by establishing goals of continuous improvement of security programs by every entity within Vigobyte's supply chain.
