CMC Magnetics Corporation, Ltd, headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, was established in 1978, manufacturing video-tapes and audio cassettes. In 1989 CMC began producing 3.5" diskettes and went public in 1992 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Currently a leader in recordable media for all CD-R and DVD+/-R formats. CMC Magnetics Corporation is constantly evolving to meet the ever changing needs of the optical media industry.
CMC Magnetics has 15 worldwide locations in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, England, Mexico, and the United States, providing ease of access to their products throughout the world. Vigobyte, where it stands today, proudly joined the CMC family in 1998.
